Nicole Gilbert is a 22-year-old native of San Diego, California. She will graduate from Arizona State University in May of 2012 with honors, receiving a master's in Journalism & Mass Communication, a bachelor's in Journalism and a bachelor's in Sustainability.

Nicole has cultivated her researching, writing and multimedia skills over the past several years. She is currently a multimedia producer and reporter for Cronkite News. Previously, she was a fellow with the national News21 program, funded by the Carnegie-Knight Foundation. She also worked for ASU student media as a reporter and column writer for The State Press and State Press Magazine, as a reporter for AZ Fact Check and as an intern for ITV Cable 16 in San Diego. Her work has appeared on national news sites msnbc.com and azcentral.com.

Nicole is seeking employment in the media industry where she can use her writing, researching and multimedia skills in a creative way.
